Licensed, Insured &
Verified in Your State

RoofRepair.co operates only through fully licensed contractors in every state we serve. Verify our license in your state, understand the requirements, and protect yourself from unlicensed operators.

Why Licensing
Matters for You

A licensed roofing contractor has passed state examinations, carries required insurance, and can be held accountable through the state licensing board. An unlicensed contractor can disappear after a job, leaving you with no legal recourse and potential code violations on your property.

Unlicensed roof work also creates problems with insurance claims, property sales, and future permits. In states that require permits, only licensed contractors can legally pull them — which means uninspected work with no municipal oversight.

Every RoofRepair.co contractor is fully licensed in their operating state, carries General Liability insurance of at least $1 million, and maintains Workers Compensation coverage for all employees on your property.

✓ Licensed in 25 States ✓ $1M+ Liability Insurance ✓ Workers Compensation ✓ BBB Accredited A+ ✓ GAF Certified

Always Ask Your Contractor For:

State License Number

Request the specific license number for your state and verify it at the state licensing board website before any work begins.

Certificate of Insurance

Require a current COI showing both General Liability and Workers Compensation coverage, listing your address as the project site.

Written Permit Statement

Ask whether a permit is required for your project and get written confirmation that the contractor will pull it before work starts.

Local References

Request 3 verifiable local references from jobs completed in your area within the past 18 months — not a testimonial page.

Verify Any Contractor
in 3 Steps

Search the State Board

Every state with a licensing requirement has an online lookup. Search the contractor's business name or license number. Look for active/good-standing status and no disciplinary actions.

Request the COI Directly

Ask the contractor to have their insurance company email the Certificate of Insurance directly to you — not the contractor. The COI should list your address as a project location.

Check BBB & Google Reviews

Search the business on BBB for accreditation status and complaint history. Look for pattern complaints about warranty follow-through or post-job disputes — more revealing than star ratings.
